Monroe Truck Equipment is searching for a Cost Accountant that will play a critical role in maintaining stand costs and it's ongoing analysis to join our team and grow with us!
Division: Monroe Truck Equipment - Monroe, WI
Position: Cost Accountant
Shift: Monday-Friday
Status: Fulltime, Exempt
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Perform month-end close inventory and variance analysis-related functions.
Review Cycle Count program and results
Maintain standard cost accounting system and analyze variances including labor, absorption, PPV, and MUV.
Calculate and maintain standard labor and overhead rates
Analyze costs incurred, cost of sales, and calculation of inventory value including reserves for excess and obsolete inventory
Prepare various daily, weekly, and monthly management reports
Prepare journal entries in support of the month-end close process.
Perform and report on product margins, both existing and forward-looking
Lead role in annual cost role & physical inventory
Prepare account reconciliations.
Desired Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 5-7 years of related experience in job cost analysis
Experience with proper procedures for month-end cutoff transactions & reconciliation of sub-ledgers to General Ledger
