The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for building the architecture and technical leadership of the entire DevOps practice.
You will be responsible for creating software deployment strategies that are essential for the successful deployment of software in the work environment as well as defining our path to production.
You will create and collaborate on automation to analyze, maintain, and evolve our complex infrastructure while working across multiple teams on training and adoption of process and tools.
The Senior DevOps Engineer is tasked with the management and development of continuous integration continuous test and continuous deployment framework for production applications across various sites/technologies/software.
Leading by example, you will spearhead the creation of new technology infrastructures and maintain configuration management and tools to deliver a fully automated well-orchestrated delivery process for the building and deployment of both code, databases, infrastructure, and data.
Serves as a subject matter expert on DevOps best practices including continuous integration, continuous delivery, continuous deployment, orchestration, and build automation engineering Develop the frameworks, techniques, and tooling to provide increased quality and agility for our engineering teams Build infrastructure as code to provide a highly scalable and configurable set of environments Develop pipelines for engineering, QA/QE, Op’s, and others as needed Serves as a central coordination point for the execution of CI/CD processes with other teams Develop the Build, Test, and Deployment automation for Software Application products Collaborate with other members in the Blain’s organization by sharing our efforts, improving centralized templates, and finding best practices elsewhere in the organization Recommend and enforce development guidelines and best practices Proactively shares passion for staying on top of emerging tech trends and platforms, experimenting with, and learning new Technologies Mentors’ other members of the engineering community responsible for repo creation, pipelines, build/merges, pull requests, and various overall migrations Drive continuous improvements in the Software Factory for maximizing product quality and productivity of the engineering team What it Takes: Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent with 5-8 years of Software Industry experience At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with CI/CD concepts and tools (i.
e.
, GitLab, testing concepts, change management, blue/green, infrastructure as code) At least 2 years of experience as a AZURE DevOps Engineer At least 4 years of experience in a scripting language (such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python) Azure DevOps Certification / Azure Solutions Architect Certification/ITIL Certification Experience with modern languages development practices and frameworks (such as JavaScript/.
Net/Java) Hands on ability to design, architect, and implement complete CI/CD pipelines as code using Azure DevOps (AZDO) on Cloud and On-premises Hands on experience in containerizing and orchestrating Docker (preferably with Kubernetes, ECS, or equivalent) software products development and deployment Experience with writing Infrastructure as Code using frameworks such as Terraform, or other configuration-based tools for Azure Effectively communicate with others through documentation, remote working sessions, and face-to-face interactions Identify opportunities to reduce time to delivery, rework and total cost of ownership while improving the functional and non-functional requirements of our system Ability guide others to solve complex technical issues, providing thought leadership Manage resources responsible for repo creation, pipelines, build/merges, pull requests, and various overall migrations Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.
