Assist team members on various IT-related projects or day-to-day tasks.
Diagnose complex hardware and software problems and implement corrective solutions.
Plan, implement and document Windows server installations, migrations, and upgrades.
Maintain physical servers running in hypervisor clusters with SAN-backed storage.
Maintain physical servers running standalone hypervisors with direct attached storage (DAS).
Maintain a Windows RDS server farm.
Setup and maintain Veeam backups utilizing NAS, cloud and tape repositories.
Assist with administration of Active Directory, Group Policies, DHCP, DNS (internal and external), Microsoft 365, and Azure AD.
Work with infrastructure team to track vulnerabilities, apply remediations and patches to network and server assets.
Contribute to IT knowledgebase with detailed documentation of design and configuration information.
Working knowledge of infrastructure components such as LANs, WANs, VPNs, Wi-Fi networks, routers/firewalls, switches, and battery backups is essential.
Assist in annual disaster recovery planning and testing.
Prompt response to system outages or service problems.
May require off-hours work.
A strong Systems Engineer will possess: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Experience as a network/server administrator/engineer position for 5+ years High level Proficiency in Windows Active Directory, Group Policy, Server, email and Domain management.
Experience with Microsoft 365 in an Exchange Hybrid Environment.
Experience with building and supporting RDS server farms on Windows Server 2012r2 or newer.
FSLogix experience a plus.
Working knowledge of two-tiered PKI in a Microsoft Windows environment with ADCS.
Experience with Microsoft NPS server.
Experience with 802.
1x Wi-Fi utilizing EAP-TLS and PEAP-MSCHAPv2.
Experience with industry standard infrastructure components such as HPE/Dell/Cisco UCS servers, Fortinet firewalls, Cisco switches, Meraki/Ruckus Wireless Access Points, Dell SANs, Cisco/Avaya phone systems, and Veeam backup.
Experience with Virtualization Platforms VMWare vSphere and Hyper-V.
Understanding of Security Fundamentals.
