ATTENTION: The Department of Mathematics in the College of Letters and Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater invites applications for a full-time Academic Staff Lecturer in Mathematics, starting Fall 2024 for the 2024-25 academic year.
Teaching assignments will be primarily courses below the calculus level.
This will be a 9-month fixed-term appointment.
Reappointment for subsequent terms is dependent upon the needs of the University, funding, staffing requirements, and external forces.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in mathematics or in a related field 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics.
Desired Qualifications: Strong commitment to teaching.
Preference will be given to those who present evidence of successful classroom teaching experiences in mathematics.
Commitment to creating inclusive learning environments centered around active and innovative pedagogy, particularly in general education mathematics courses.
Experience teaching mathematics education courses.
Experience teaching co-requisite support courses.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training drills.
Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Full-time teaching responsibility consists of teaching twenty-seven credits of undergraduate mathematics courses per year.
Instructors in the Department of Mathematics at UW-W are expected to teach in person and participate in professional developmental activities.
