The City of Beloit has a unique opportunity for applicants seeking public service experience and hands-on involvement in local government administration to serve as a paid intern in the City Manager's Office.
*Season: *May through December (variable hour; approximately 10 hours/week)
This position is responsible for assisting with initiatives in the City Manager’s office, including in the areas of community engagement, neighborhood revitalization, and sustainability.
Under the direction and general supervision of the Director of Strategic Communications, this employee is expected to assist with a wide variety of administrative, technical and research assignments in support of municipal management programs and initiatives.

High School Diploma or equivalent
2.
A valid driver’s license or otherwise meet the transportation needs of the position.
3.
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Communications, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
4.
Other combinations of training and/or experience which can be demonstrated to result in the possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position may also be considered.
