TURFGRASS MANAGEMENT INTERN - for 2024 Season
Join the fun, fast-paced team at Geneva National Resort & Club, home to 54 holes of legendary golf designed by icons Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Lee Trevino.
As a Turfgrass Intern, you will help oversee GN's meticulously manicured bent grass tees, fairways, greens, and expansive practice area including two ranges and three practice greens.
Here is your opportunity to spend the season is beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin while working alongside experienced superintendents who become valuable mentors.
This is a five-to-six-month internship.
Ideal candidates will be able to work through the September or October.
Complimentary housing is available.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The AIT/intern will be involved in pesticide and fertilizer applications
Routine calibration of spreaders and sprayers
Irrigation operation and repairs
Daily course maintenance
Turfgrass cultural programs
Daily course set-up
Assisting in and managing various projects
All aspects of golf course management
Natural/Native area management
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Currently enrolled in Certificate or 2- or 4-year Turfgrass/Agronomy/Agriscience/Horticulture degree program, or
Two-plus years of golf course Grounds experience
SUCCESS FACTORS

Prior golf course experience preferred but not required
Knowledge of the game of golf is a benefit
