*Position Summary:* The Quality Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the quality management system, ensuring that our products meet or exceed our customers’ expectations and industry standards.
The successful candidate will lead a team of quality control professionals, establish quality processes, and drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance product quality.
*Key Responsibilities:* * *Quality Management:* Develop, implement, and manage a robust and comprehensive quality management system tailored to best serve our business needs.
Continuously update and refine quality policies and procedures.
* *Quality Control:* Establish and enforce quality control protocols, inspections, and testing procedures to drive quality at the source and guarantee conformity and reliability.
Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Utilize business software (ERP) to track data and support the inspection process.
* *Team Leadership:* Recruit, train, and supervise a team of quality control professionals.
Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure a proficient and effective quality assurance team.
* *Continuous Improvement:* Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement.
Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to execute quality improvement initiatives.
* *Quality Metrics and Reporting:* Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on quality performance.
Present regular quality reports to senior management.
* *Supplier Quality Management:* Work with suppliers to guarantee the quality of raw materials and components and implement programs for supplier quality enhancement.
* *Root Cause Analysis:* Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformities, and customer complaints through root cause analysis.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence utilizing tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, etc.
* *Customer Satisfaction:* Monitor and assess customer feedback and work with the organization to implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
Address customer complaints and take corrective actions as necessary.
*Position Expectations:* * Provide day to day direction to the quality inspectors aligning efforts to achieve annual strategic business goals and objectives.
* Maintain a broad knowledge of company capabilities and product lines.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrate ability to understand how product quality impacts the broader organization and how to best implement resolutions or changes to achieve desired outcomes.
* Be an example of company standards, a role model to employees.
* Participate in efforts to enhance safety program.
* Openness to acquiring new knowledge and skills, actively engaging in self-improvement, and actively participating in ongoing educational endeavors.
* Champion lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste while upholding high product quality.
*Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.

* Substantial (10+ years) experience in quality management and quality control within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* Strong skills in statistical analysis, data driven decision-making, and process improvement methodologies.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

* Knowledge of quality management systems preferred.
* Understanding of metal and wood product fabrication and design for manufacturability (milling, bending, forming, punching, cutting, welding, paint, and assembly) preferred.
