The successful Hospitality/Environmental Services Manager candidate will be responsible for achieving and maintaining excellent patient satisfaction and employee engagement, supervise the performance of all housekeeping, custodians and laundry personnel through personal inspections and other quality control techniques, assure timely response to housekeeping work orders, ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment; plan for repair and/or replacement of damaged equipment, routinely monitor/evaluate staff competency, attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned, prepare budget and ensure department operates within budgetary guidelines, implement and monitor the department’s safety program and quality standards, inspect all housekeeping equipment regularly for proper functioning and safety, manage proper disposal of trash and recyclables within the hospital, prepares for State and Joint Commission inspections.
Qualifications Required:
Environmental Service/Housekeeping Management experience in a retirement facility, hotel, hospital, or similar environment
Thorough knowledge of floor equipment, carpet care, general cleaning, and comprehensive knowledge of housekeeping chemicals and SDS compliance
Knowledge of infection control
Strong organizational, scheduling and planning skills
Dedicated previous employment with the same employer for at least one year
Computer proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
A passion for giving excellent customer service
Hours will be a combination of 1st and 2nd shift, 8 hour shifts between 9a-11:30pm with a great deal of flexibility
May need to assist with on-call at times
