Ensures staff is setting meeting rooms for meeting and/or special events on or off property as well as refresh rooms as needed according to banquet event orders.
Disseminate specific set-up requirements through verbal or written communication from department manager.
Supervise the set-up and clean-up of banquet rooms for daily events which include removing tables, chairs, risers, etc.
Supervises the thorough cleaning of banquet rooms.
Clean, organize and stock department storage areas of equipment and working supplies.
Supervises the maintenance of doors, mirrors, woodwork, stairs, and rails in all banquet rooms.
Perform general cleaning (vacuuming, dusting, etc.
) of banquet and meeting rooms and designated public areas.
Move departmental furnishings throughout the property as requested.
Assist other departments when requested by the Banquet Manager and/or Assistant Banquet Manager, i.
e.
, bussing, dishwashing, serving, etc.
Move, lift, and install convention props.
Make special, and sometimes last minute, set-ups or changes.
Trains, supervises, and delegates responsibilities to the set-up attendants.
Set-up and removal of coffee break sets.
Occasionally drive company vehicles, including golf carts.
Respond to guest requests, needs, and changes
Performs the duties of set-up attendant as needed (See Job Description)
Assist banquet waitstaff when available and assigned by Banquet Manager and/or Assistant Banquet Manager.
Punches in and reports to the Banquets Manager and/or Assistant Banquet Manager on time and in full uniform for each shift.
Obtains Manager’s approval prior to punching out.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager and/or Assistant Banquet Manager.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
2 years working experience as a supervisor or Set-Up Attendant preferred but not required
Valid Driver's License preferred
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee frequently is required to walk; and talk or hear.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The position is indoors and outdoors; and is exposed to wet, hot, humid and/or cold conditions at times.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time on their feet.
