In your role as a ITSM specialist, you'll be overseeing the tracking of configuration items in ABC's IT infrastructure.
As an APM specialist, your focus will be on monitoring and enhancing the performance of software applications.
As Service Now Application Portfolio Management specialist you will have to identify every IT software application within the company and to manage these applications in a clear and efficient way.
As ITSM specialist, you will be responsible for the engineering, design, and implementation of ServiceNow Discovery, and the maintenance and health of the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
This includes leveraging all ServiceNow’s IT Operations Management (ITOM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) capabilities, including Service Mapping, implementation of best practices using ServiceNow’s Common Service Data Model (CSDM), as well as Hardware and Software Asset Management.
This position offers a hybrid schedule once fully trained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Asset and Configuration Management responsibilities, design, deploy, and manage CMDB data management tools including Discovery and Service Mapping solutions for both on-premises and cloud resources.
Serve as the escalation point involving potential troubleshooting and problem resolution assistance.
Design and manage CMDB and Asset data integrations with other data sources using import sets, transform maps, API integrations, and the Identification and Reconciliation Engine Develop, document, implement, and maintain CMDB governance processes, procedures, and policies.
Continually drive improvement in the configuration management process Define, create, and monitor CMDB health reports, dashboards, and other reports.
Build a comprehensive inventory of the business applications in use.
Assess the value of each application by evaluating their significance and usage based on the metrics.
Decide whether to invest in the application, maintain it as it is or replace it with another application, or retire the application.
Implement decisions by retaining, upgrading, or retiring the applications.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, business administration, or a relevant field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience with ServiceNow’s ITOM and ITAM solutions, including CMDB, Discovery and Asset Management capabilities, as well as working knowledge of ITIL Infrastructure and application onboarding and offboarding processes and how the CMDB can be integrated in those processes.
Experience working with fast-paced, high-growth organizations preferred.
ITIL certification, PMP, Agile Certification, or equivalent experience will be a plus.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Considerable experience with relationship management and interpersonal business development.
General understanding of all aspects of infrastructure devices (i.
e.
, server, network device, network protocols, application technologies, operating systems basics) Understanding hardware and software asset management practices and how those processes integrate and synchronize with the CMDB.
