Regional EHS Manager Location: Regional (Janesville, WI, Orrville, OH, Rydal, GA, Lakeland, FL) How You Will Make an Impact? The Regional Environmental Health and Safety Manager will support Morgan Truck Body manufacturing and service facilities in a designated Region to ensure safe environmental working conditions for all team members.
Position will report to the Director of Environmental, Health & Safety.
The Regional EHS Manager will implement proactive safety systems to reduce accidents, injuries, and property loss.
The position will be responsible for maintaining a positive safety culture throughout a designated region that will cultivate the value of safety to each individual and be practiced at every level.
The Nuts and Bolts 1.
Support local health and safety processes with plant leadership in plants 2.
Support local regulatory compliance to include, but not limited to: OSHA (and state-equivalents), SPCC, EPCRA, RCRA, and storm water discharge 3.
Maintain policy and standards and ensure all plants are appropriately informed 4.
Support the preparation of recommendations for corrective actions to eliminate or minimize potential or existing risks and hazards 5.
Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard management systems, policies, and procedures with recommended changes that reflect opportunities to eliminate workplace injuries 6.
Support the site in investigating, analyzing and reviewing near-misses and accidents to ensure proper corrective and preventative measures are implemented 7.
Support site in the review of injury and property damage reports, and in compliance of worker’s compensation regulations 8.
Compile, analyze, and communicate metrics and KPIs via monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting 9.
Mentoring and professional development of site level EHS leaders 10.
Conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices 11.
Identify ergonomic issues and recommend corrective actions 12.
Utilize Subject Matter Expertise to assist plant in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements 13.
Other duties as assigned Required Credentials • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Safety and Health, Safety or Environmental Management, Safety or Environmental Science, and/or Engineering is required • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on professional health, safety, and environmental experience in manufacturing environments is required with multi-site management experience preferred • Certification/Licensure(s) – Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Professional, Occupational Health and Safety technologist, and/or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager preferred • Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations at local, state, and federal levels is required • Proven ability to be proactive and can facilitate change through education and training and by being a team player is required • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral and be able to work with all levels is required • Problem analysis and problem resolution with an understanding of root cause investigative process is required • Strong time management and prioritization skills needed to support multiple locations is required • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook 365 is required • Travel will be required; up to 75% You Must Be Able to • This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment.
Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
