It is important for a person with developmental disabilities and/or mental health issues to be able to live independently and achieve their hopes and dreams.
Dungarvin provides supports to assist a person with mental health issues to learn the skills necessary to live independently in the community, including daily living skills and coping skills for managing symptoms.
Job Description The Lead Behavioral Direct Support Professional (LDSP) is a pivotal position in our Janesville homes.
The LDSP is responsible for working cooperatively with the Program Directors and other staff in developing, implementing, and evaluating the outcomes of community living supports provided to individuals with developmental disabilities.
This individual performs all of the responsibilities and duties of the Direct Support Provider (DSP) and, in addition, holds primary responsibility for areas of care coordination, nutrition, household management, scheduling staff, and quality service implementation for individuals receiving supports.
The LDSP should be involved directly in all assessments, planning, and implementation of services and supports.
Finally, they will assist in direct training, follow-up, and coaching with service staff, keeping the Program Director informed at all times.
Schedule: Full-time This position requires flexibility.
You will work in various homes throughout {Insert Area}.
Our ideal candidate will be willing to work on more than one shift (Day, Evening, and/or Overnight).
Qualifications What Makes You A Great Fit: • Minimum 18 years of age.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in the field working with individuals with developmental disabilities, an associate or bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle with automobile liability coverage and an acceptable driving record according to Dungarvin’s insurance policy required.
• Have an active personal telephone and/or active voice mail system, which will be accessible to the Program Director and/or other staff.
