A Shift Leader is a Team Member in charge of providing direct supervision and ensuring everything runs smoothly during their shift.
You’ll ensure that the restaurant is a safe place for Team Members to work and customer to visit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assign and direct daily duties for Team Members based on role, skills and shift needs
Maintain high standards in restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, and guest satisfaction
Uphold Toppers policies and procedures; provide feedback/coaching to Team Members as needed
Be knowledgeable of delivery area map/traffic patterns to assist delivery drivers organize their routes
Solve customer complaints quickly and with a smile
Provide feedback to Team Members in a positive manner
Train new Team Members on daily tasks
Balance cash draw and prepare deposit
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
Must be 18 years of age
Must have a source of reliable transportation
Previous quick service restaurant or supervisory experience
Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel).
Serve-Safe/Local or State Food Service Certification preferred
WORK CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
High noise levels due to operations, customers, and overhead music
Will work near moving or mechanical parts
Varied weather conditions are expected during delivery driving or curbside walk out, including heat, cold, rain and snow
Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors (95%) and outdoors (5%).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to meet the following physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation:
Must be able to exert well-paced and frequent mobility for periods of up to five hours.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data.
Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish.
