SUMMARY: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the coordination, supervision, and delegation of operations workload for warehouse associates.
This position coaches, mentors, trains, and corrects warehouse associates in day-to-day operations of the selection shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a safe work environment by adherence to safety procedures and leading by example.
Responsible for hiring, firing, and reviewing performance of 1st shift employees
Oversee workflow of the order selection shift to meet daily workflow demands, productivity goals, and scheduling of second shift employees.
Facilitate orientation and training of new hires as well as refresher training of existing employees.
Create agendas and guide employee shift start meetings.
Truck Mapping though WMS software and the physical loading of trucks with pallet jack equipment and stacking by hand.
Order Selection and Forklift replenishment.
Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work related problems.
Reviews and analyzes workflow and common practices; makes improvement recommendations to General Manager.
Implements and trains employees on approved changes.
Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Company, and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property.
Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation.
Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.
Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
Must be able to work holidays, (weekends or evenings as needed).
Projected hours Mon-Fri 4am-12:30pm
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience
1 year supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead people, direct work, reward, and correct employees as necessary
Skills
Speaking – Effectively communicate with others through spoken English language.
Coordination – Adjusting actions in relation to another’s actions.
Critical Thinking – Using logic and reason to solve work related problems.

Certification, Licenses, Registrations
Must be able to obtain Forklift Certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in a warehouse setting
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION & WORKING CONDITIONS:
Warehouse environment with racking, forklifts, concrete floors, coolers & freezers.
Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and extreme cold.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Sitting at workstation 5% to 15% of work time.
Standing/walking bending, and reaching, and lifting 85% to 95% of work time.
The employee frequently lifts cases averaging 30# but occasionally up to 80#.
