Job Information
As an Operations Strategy Director, you will be responsible for developing the strategies that drive world-class manufacturing, quality, and material flow and technologies throughout North America Operations Facilities; for framing of our strategic direction, performance, and opportunities/challenges; for leading establishment of the regional manufacturing footprint strategy as well as the ‘Make v Buy’ decision-making process.
This position is also responsible for the development and consolidation of the AOP and LRP plans for North American operations.
The Operations Strategy Director will support all operations sub-functions (including Material Flow) and work closely with the Vice President of Ops, Sr Director of Ops, Procurement Leadership, Operations Site Leadership members, DBI strategy, other senior leaders, and global operations stakeholders.
Role & Responsibility
Capital and Strategic Planning for NA Operations
Establish a regional manufacturing footprint strategy.
Define a clear ‘Make v Buy’ strategy.
Lead development of value stream maps for all products
Develop and maintain capital and strategic plans for North America (NA) Operations for AOP and LRP.
Educate and communicate consistency of operations across business units.
Advanced Manufacturing
Investigate new technologies to improve our manufacturing processes.
Research, pilot, and implement new processes into manufacturing and material flow.
Lead effort on digitalization of manufacturing
Stay up to date on manufacturing trends and establish best practices across NA sites.
Capacity Planning for NA Operations
Lead the site level functional strategic planning process guiding and working closely with team members to ensure each site represents holistic vision.
Maintain and continually refine the capacity plans for NA Operations.
Roadmap to support operational capacity targets.
Leverage of ME Resources across all NA sites to support overall NA Manufacturing goals and objectives.
Job Requirement
Education Required: bachelor’s degree
Master’s degree preferred
Experience Required: >10 years
Travel Required: 10 - 25%
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and technology
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills
Belt certification preferred; experience in Lean Six Sigma

Ability to create compelling storylines and persuade/influence leadership
