As a tax manager you will prepare and file federal and state(s) business, individual, and other related tax forms.
You will manage your book, provide clients with tax guidance and planning, and assist with various research projects throughout the year.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee staff who help with the preparation of returns.
Maintain client and staff relationships
Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepare and review business and individual tax returns.
Tax planning and projections requested by clients.
Research tax issues
Provide recommendations for process improvements
Maintain an understanding and knowledge of changes in tax law by reading professional literature or attending tax seminars and training courses.
Consult with clients to develop a basic understanding of their financial affairs and the scope of their tax liabilities.
Answer calls and emails from clients in a timely manner.
Evaluate performance on client engagements
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

General proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to learn from previous experiences and apply knowledge to future assignments.
Quality communication between other staff and clients

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required
CPA- required
At least 5 full busy seasons worked in the tax profession helping to prepare and review individual and business tax returns
Experience with Thomson Reuters suite preferred
