JOB POSTING: Full Time Director of Liturgy and Music
Where: Christ the King Pastorate Green County, south central Wisconsin
The parishes of St.
Clare of Assisi (Monroe) and St.
Francis of Assisi (Belleville), recently named Christ the King Pastorate, are seeking a full-time Director of Liturgy and Music, as we increase our collaboration and shared ministry.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the pastor, staff, paid and volunteer music ministers, and lay ministers to ensure that prayerful, reverent and uplifting Liturgy is celebrated throughout the Pastorate, especially focusing on our 7 Lord's Day Masses (one in Spanish).
A burning desire to lead others to know and love Jesus Christ in the Eucharist is essential.
We're looking for someone with extensive knowledge of and affinity for the Latin Rite liturgy celebrated in continuity with Catholic tradition, including a repertoire of hymnody and sacred choral music.
Proficiency in the organ is a plus, as well as Spanish pronunciation.
This position will require:
Regular keyboard accompaniment for choirs and cantors at Lord's Day Masses, Holy Days, and Ritual Masses (weddings and funerals)
Selecting music for the Liturgy
Rehearsing music with choirs and cantors
Coordinating accompanists, cantors and choirs for our various Masses
Communicating plans for Liturgies with priests, staff and volunteers
Depending on the skills and interests of the best candidate, the position will also include some (but not all) of the following:
Accompanying music for our weekly school Masses at St.
Victor School, Monroe
Directing our children's choir for school Masses
Teaching elementary music classes
Scheduling liturgical ministers
Training liturgical ministers
Coordinating beautiful and suitable liturgical environment
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
This is a full time position with benefits and competitive salary.
The start date of this position is negotiable.

Proficient keyboard and vocal skills
Experience leading music in the context of Liturgy
