Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to join our team.
As an Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control and management, ensuring accurate stock levels, and optimizing inventory processes.
This is a critical role that requires strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively manage inventory in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy
- Analyze sales data and trends to forecast demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate procurement, receiving, and distribution activities
- Implement efficient inventory control procedures, including cycle counting, stock rotation, and replenishment
- Conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Utilize data analysis tools such as Power BI to generate reports and insights on inventory performance
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate records of all inventory transactions
- Train and mentor team members on inventory management best practices
Experience:
- Proven experience in inventory management or related field
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Proficiency in using inventory management software systems
- Knowledge of distribution center operations and processes
- Familiarity with procurement processes, including vendor selection and price negotiation
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as needed
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis
- Experience in data mining and analytics is a plus
