Field Sales Agronomist

*ALCIVIA* is growing and looking to add a full-time *Field Sales Agronomist* within our *Southern Wisconsin* sales territories.

* With this position, you would receive a company vehicle.
*Available Sales Territories*: Evansville, Fall River, Union Grove, and Whitewater.
* Home office and must be living within the assigned sales territory (_approximately within a 45-minute drive from main hub of the assigned sales territory_).
* Daily travel is required to cover the sales territory adequately.
Also, this position may need to travel for a quarterly sales meeting and/or any other ALCIVIA related meetings.
There will be no overnight travel unless to attend required meetings and/or events.
*Pay Type:* Salary plus Commission, bi-weekly.
*Work Schedule: *Monday - Friday; 8:00am to 4:30pm.

com/watch?v=EXksxCuX2Ak *Field Sales Agronomist Essential Responsibilities:* We are looking for a Field Sales Agronomist to build and maintain positive relationships with members resulting in sales of fertilizers, chemicals, and seeds while improving our members financial success.
While also conducting on farm sales calls and taking on some operations responsibilities during spring agronomy season.
* Recommend fertilizers, chemicals, and seed producing the greatest yield and profitability for members * Write up product orders and verify price to maintain margins * Submit orders for processing and follow up with procurement * Goal based commission without a cap * Help coordinate product delivery or application * Analyze soil using sampling and observations * Conduct testing and communicate the results to the supplier * Develop plans for pest infestations and other crop related issues * Collaborate with members on crop development and recommendations for improvement * Coordinate with site managers regarding timing of materials * Communicate with applicators regarding field characteristics, product placement, and other application logistics * Follow up with members after application and resolve any issues * Application of wet, dry, and vapor agronomy products to soil and vegetation * Comfortable engaging and running heavy machinery * Adjust hoses, nozzles, and tubes to account for varied terrain * Assure the work complies with laws, regulations, and company standards * Mix chemicals and fertilizers according to the formulas * Clean and operate machinery to ensure operating efficiency * Quickly report all machinery malfunctions and ensure repairs are completed * Make minor repairs and adjustments to machinery in the field * During the offseason assist with major repairs, paint equipment, and maintain facilities * Assist in the movement and accounting for inventory tracking * Identify opportunities to cross-sell for other areas of the business * Support cross-divisional collaboration whenever possible * Help out in other areas of the business as bandwidth allows * Other duties as assigned *Field Sales Agronomist* *Required Skills & Qualifications:* * Bachelor degree in agriculture or related field preferred * Two (2) years agronomy sales experience preferred * Certified Crop Advisor preferred * Clean driving record required * Strong computer and technology skills * Excellent written and verbal and communication * Sales and service focused mindset * Motivated to always exceed customer expectations * Work well independently and leading a team * Strong enthusiasm for building internal and external relationships * Embrace goals and goal setting to grow your sales career * Self-directed and focuses on taking action * Effective negotiation and closing skills * Ability to identify objectives and recommend the best solutions * Possess a strong set of core values and beliefs * Accept responsibility while maintaining integrity * Remain persistence and recover quickly from setbacks * Demonstrate confidence in approaching new members * Know how and when to ask for the sale * Must be able to walk, sit, or stand for extended periods of time * Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds at any given time * Comfortable working with chemicals and fertilizers * Working in outdoor conditions * Varied work schedule and hours based on season and weather conditions * Local and regional travel * Safety first mindset Find your place in a positive, supportive atmosphere where opportunity is always growing, with a team that believes in its mission.
