_Production Line Worker_
IKI is now hiring for reliable Production Workers in our Edgerton, WI facility for *1st shift 5:30am-2:30pm M-F*.
Summary: The Production Line Worker is responsible for production line machine operation, assembly, packaging, and clean up.
Essential Functions:
* *Carton Assembler*
1.
Assemble cartons in advance of line speed requirement
2.
Assemble and add proper pads, dividers, and/or trays as required
3.
Check for defective materials
* *Can Feeder/Depalletizer*
1.
Place cans from pallets to turntable or automatic feeder
2.
Inspect cans for dents, paint flaws, and other defects
3.
Make sure there are no gaps between cans on the conveyor line
* *Packer*
1.
Remove cans from conveyor and check for defects and proper coding
2.
Place cans in the proper carton and add necessary pads, trays, and information inserts
3.
Send carton to end packer or through the taping machine
4.
Make sure properly labeled cartons are being used
* *Bin Tender/Item Placer (Cap, Tips, Valves)*
1.
Monitoring cap, tip, or valve flow to the production line
2.
Clearing minor equipment jams
3.
Informing Mechanic/Group Leader of equipment problems
4.
Keep record of the # of cases on pallet and # of pallets finished
* *Water Bath Testing*
1.
Monitor water bath at proper temperature (usually 135-145 degrees F) and record every 15 minutes
2.
Look for air bubbles coming from cans and remove any leaking cans
3.
Report rejected products (quantity and reason) to Quality Control
4.
Report issues to Group Leader and Mechanic to rectify problem
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Attention to detail and thoroughness
* Ability to read, write, and follow basic instructions
* Basic math skills
* Must be reliable
* Ability to work as a team
Work Environment: Production environment; exposure to noise and chemicals, proper PPE and Safety rules must be followed.
Physical Demands: Stands 100%, frequent lifting up to 25 lbs
