Position Summary:
Responsible for the maintenance, repair or replacement of plant electrical/electronic equipment and systems, to ensure maximum productivity quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintains and repairs maintenance shop and plant equipment.
Uses computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations or solving maintenance related problems.
Monitors and repairs plant electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Participates with plant safety programs: lock out tag out, confined space entry.
Initiates and implements the plant maintenance program based on the best practices in the ethanol industry, with an emphasis on preventive and predictive maintenance.
Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
Carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
Ensures city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are met at all times.

Communicates directly with the operations department ot coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
Communicates directly with QA laboratory to ensure effective participation by maintenance technicians in the implementation of QA policies and procedures.
Follows plant policies and procedures required to ensure plant safety and cleanliness.
Assists with implementing plant improvements and expansions.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years’ electrical maintenance experience in a process plant environment.
Electricians license preferred but not required.
Must have the ability to work effectively with the computerized maintenance management system and instruct others on its operation.
Must have expertise and proficiency with basic office software, e.
g.
, word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, exposed to wet or humid conditions; must be able to climb ladders and work in high, precarious places; and work in all outdoor weather conditions.
May be occasionally exposed to high noise environments.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
