*About the Position:*
We are seeking an experienced assembly supervisor to oversee and manage our assembly department's operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating production output, managing a team of assembly personnel, and ensuring all orders are processed accurately and efficiently while meeting or exceeding established rates.
*Responsibilities*
*Supervision and Leadership*: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of assembly personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
Be of upstanding character necessary for being a role model to employees.
*Assembly: *Coordinate daily production needs and delegate tasks, ensuring accurate production of product.
Analyze, interpret, and report on production statistics for department(s).
Decision making: Ability to problem solve manufacturing issues within department.
*Continuous Improvement: *Develop ongoing process improvements through cellular or continuous methods.
Assist engineering maintaining and driving cost reduction programs introduced to department.
*Quality Assurance: *Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products are assembled accurately.
*Compliance and Documentation: *Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards, prepare documents and reports as needed.
*Performance Tracking: *Track and analyze assembly metrics and personnels’ performance, prepare performance reports, and recommend improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and productivity.
*Communication and Collaboration:* Collaborate with internal teams (such as production, customer service, logistics, and HR) to streamline processes and resolve issues.
Conduct weekly department meetings with team.
*Requirements*
Prefer associate degree in Supervisory Leadership within a manufacturing discipline.
Proven experience (2-3 years) in a manufacturing supervisory role.
Knowledge of manufacturing process and procedures
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and excellent computer skills within the Microsoft Suite application.
ADP timekeeping system is a plus.
Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
