_*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*_
1.
Develop and manage projects and activities for product development.
Direct resources allocations and flex team as necessary to achieve goals.
2.
Accountable for on-time delivery with quality of product development projects, Value Engineering cost reductions to offset customer givebacks, technology development, quality-improvement design changes, and successful quotation of new designs.
3.
Ensures project and portfolio management processes are used and documented.
Lead improvement of Novares processes to enhance performance for key stakeholders.
4.
Analyze competitors’ offerings and the industry landscape, and drive product strategy and enhancements that allow Novares to maintain points of differentiation and competitive advantage.
5.
Manages/mentors associates and ensures that they are accountable by having clear objectives, responsibilities, goals, and development plans.
Ensure subordinates’ technical skills are complimented with sound engineering judgment.
6.
Develops and implements methods for associates to develop balanced resource allocations and accurate project timelines.
7.
Effectively communicates cross functionally to appropriate departments and external partners.
8.
Responsible for all supervisory functions related to department staff including safety and environmental compliance, overtime/vacation/absenteeism coverages, work force planning, personnel related issues, cross-training and performance management.
9.
Follow policies, procedures and guidelines including the company handbook.
10.
Offer plant/companywide continuous improvement suggestions.
11.

_*Qualifications*_
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline.
Master’s degree in engineering or business preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: None
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
o A minimum of 8 years post-graduate product development leadership role, preferably in automotive industry.
o Demonstrated success in managing the delivery of product and product enhancements to key stakeholders.
o Demonstrated ability to thrive in complex environments, by reducing complexity for users and other stakeholders.
Proven success with managing numerous technical projects simultaneously.
o Extensive project and portfolio management experience.
o Significant practical statistical methodology experience.
o Effective writing, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
o Experience leading technical staff and participating in cross functional teams.
