Production Team Lead 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts

Impact Confections is an innovative manufacturer of candies marketed under the WarHeads® and Melster Candies® brand names.
WarHeads® are one of the most recognized (and tastiest!) sour candies in the world and the fastest growing brand in the market! Due to continued growth, we are adding additional *Production Team Lead* positions on all shifts! These are hands-on positions that plays a critical role in supporting the crafting of the tastiest candies in the world for customers and distributors throughout our network.
The primary overall responsibility of this role is to inspire and drive the day-to-day performance of the assigned team in the areas of safety, quality, employee engagement and production delivery.
You’ll keep busy in a fast-paced production environment as you contribute towards keeping our fans supplied with the most popular sour candies in the world! *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* * Communicates production and performance standards and expectations, then leads and motivates the team to meet or exceed.
* Act as the communication conduit between production employees and Management * Ensures all team members adhere to safety and Company policies.
* Engages with shift employees to provide assistance and guidance where needed, consulting other departments (HR, Quality, etc.
) when needed to solve issues.
* Train existing employees on new products or processes.
* Tracks and reports production Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to drive safety and production efficiency.
* Communicates with plant leadership and peers alike both professionaly and timely to quickly address and solve production and/or performance challenges.
* Ensures that the correct materials and supplies are set up on the line.
* Ensure machines are in proper working order for production startup and shut down, call maintenance if equipment requires repair.
* Strong desire to achieve while working within and supporting a team environment, doing whatever it takes to help fulfill our customer commitments.
* Ensures that the product is made according to procedure and specifications *EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or combination of related experience and/or training.
Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required, with bonus points for food manufacturing.
*LANGUAGE and COMMUNICATION SKILLS* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Proven effective inter-personal skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
