ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read and follow production schedule instructions.
Assist stacking crew in assembling orders by moving product around on the dock, stacking cases, and pallet movement.
Transports product to and from truck staging.
High stack and low stacking when required.
Prior to loading/unloading, makes sure that trailer hook (Dok Lok) is engaged or that trailer wheels are choked.
Puts ramp in place and changes lights to indicate whether or not trailer is hooked/chocked
Loads and unloads trailers, sometimes manually
Fastens stacking aids to incoming product and removes from outgoing product
Transports fiber and other materials throughout plant and accessory buildings
Complete paperwork concerning operation of forklift as required.
Changes battery in truck when necessary and follows proper battery room procedures.
Maintain housekeeping for work area.
Any other duties assigned by management.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Be proficient in English (writing and speaking) in order to perform all duties
Must be able to complete production paperwork accurately, legibly and in a timely manner
Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 55lbs frequently through the shift
Must be able to walk, stand and bend constantly through the entire shift
Must be able to work 8, 10 or 12 hours in a shift, either day or night
Must learn and follow safe working practices (Safety Absolutes)
Must learn and follow manufacturing control points and practices (Standard Work)
Must learn and follow quality control points and practices (GMP's/HACCP/FSMA)
Must work well with others as a production team
Must have reliable/ attendance and attention to duties.
Candidate will report to Supervisor
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED/equivalent preferred
