We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Fabrication Technician! This role is based in our facility in Janesville, Wisconsin, and reports to the Fabrication Supervisor.
Job Summary
We are seeking an upbeat individual who will be responsible to receive, inspect, and prepare parts for fabrication operations! This includes performing fabrication, assembly, and packaging operations.
Requirements
Principal Responsibilities
Fabricate fittings to customer specifications using customized fabricating equipment, hand, power tools, adhesives, and fixtures.
Acquire components from stock/production and set-up equipment to match to requirements.
Inspect completed parts.
Prepare and package parts for shipping, by placing them in boxes or on pallets.
Maintain reports for labor hours and inventory control.
Correctly label all parts and boxes as needed.
Visually inspect all incoming pipe and gaskets for defects.
Apply 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
Complete all production reports.
Must be eager to learn, excited to work on a team, and have good written and verbal communication skills.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
Other duties as the need arises and/or assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrates the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to read, write and comprehend sophisticated instructions, correspondence, and reports.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Work Environment
Incumbent will perform job responsibilities safely in a manufacturing environment.
Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, stooping, and lifting (to a maximum of 50 lbs).
The use of standard personal protective equipment is used and includes some of the following: safety glasses and splash shield, gloves (cotton & rubber), apron, safety shoes, ventilation fans, and face dust masks.
