Inventory Control Lead

We are currently searching for an Inventory Control Lead to join our manufacturing team.
Inventory Control Lead Focus Area
The Inventory Control Lead's primary focus will be to maintain inventory accuracy through following established cycle count guidelines, performing row audits, and reconciling inventory variances.
Oversees 2 teams of inventory specialists at two locations.
Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the Supply Chain.
Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory, documents, and reports those results to the Supply Chain.
Assists in periodic and annual inventory audits.
Perform regular cycle counting during the year and reconciles any discrepancies during the cycle count.
The Inventory Control Leader shall be responsible for maintaining records of such counts and reporting the results to the Supply Chain Manager and business the results.
Work closely with all departments and divisions to ensure that proper stock movement processes are being followed, randomly audit movements to ensure those transactions are properly occurring.
Report all findings to the Warehouse Manager and Supply Chain Manager.
Complete daily reconciliations within SAP
Ensure that FIFO or FEFO is being followed based on the type of materials, ingredients, packaging, and goods being allocated or sold.
Communicate Finished Goods Inventory to sales, Warehouse Manager.
Must communicate any discrepancies within that inventory immediately to both sales team and Warehouse Manager.
Audit all Finished Goods once production has completed the run.
Properly filling out the count sheet and communicating immediately any discrepancies.
Must be able to look at the situation and come up with ideas and opportunities to better improve the business and minimize inventory loss.
Must be able to step in and assist Material Handlers/batching/ or as needed throughout the facility.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Safety responsibility every day.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years’ experience in a Inventory Control Specialist or Leader roll, preferably within the food manufacturing environment.
Must be able to easily understand and function in WMS, ERP and MS Suite tools.
Capable of creating and keeping accurate and detailed records.
Must have superior communication skills at all levels and be able to work with all departments at an instructive and cooperative manner.
Must have excellent counting skills.
Must be able to physically operate in both frozen areas that can reach 0 degrees and move to a warm/hot environment in production areas.
Physical Demands of the Position: While performing the duties of this position, the employee must be able to see, speak, hear, read, walk, and stand, walk, reach with hands and arms.

The employee must be able to pull, push, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, balance, and lift in excess of 50 lbs.
There is extensive walking required.
