Controls or operates machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line.
May be expected to handle heavy machinery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Fill pails, drums, and totes with raw materials, intermediates, and finished products (including forklift operation)
Run reactors/product blends per operating directions
Clean transfer lines within the plant and to the drumming station
Unload empty packages and stage for use
Load box trailers with product for transfer
Make simple blends (no heating or cooling) per operating directions
Suck drums into batches as directed by Operations Techs
Perform limited amount of SAP transactions and participates in Safety at Evonik
Maintain good housekeeping, perform housekeeping audits, run karl fisher analysis on titrators, and assist in filter change-outs, perform fork-lift inspections, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
HS Diploma required
Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised.
Uses clear and effective elementary verbal communications skills under supervision to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans or policies.
Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop, monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives.
Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
Applies elementary concepts under supervision to manage and apply safe systems of work.
Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
Works under supervision at an elementary level to review and create relevant, lucid and effective reports.
Works under supervision at an elementary level to motivate all employees to learn, grow and develop so that they can obtain the knowledge and experience they need to help the organization reach its goals.
Identifies, assesses, prioritizes and manages risks in a production process at an elementary level, under supervision
Works under supervision at an elementary level to achieve full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in management and/or operations.
