Job Summary:
This position is responsible for operating all equipment on a packaging line and instruct general laborers and cutters keeping production efficiencies in line.
This position requires leadership skills with strict adherence to GMP, sanitation, safety, and personal conduct rules.
Direct reports include operators, line haulers, Cutters, and General Laborers.
Job Responsibilities:
• Evaluate daily packaging schedule and communicate the run rules with Operator and general laborers
• Review packaging pocket set up and complete set up along with appropriate film
• Communicate with respect to safety of production along with meeting customer specifications
• Must be able to use various types of equipment to run the line
• Appropriate certifications for Metal Detection
• Keep area clean
• Report unsafe conditions to plant management
• Accurate recordkeeping and specific paperwork
• Keep give away percent under 1.

• Knowledge of vemag operations

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
• Moderately strenuous work involving standing, walking with frequent bending, twisting, pushing and squatting; Repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Fast-paced clean environment; frequently cool, wet, and moderate noise along with working with chemicals
