*Position Overview:* We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our team.
This position involves floating between departments, primarily welding piers and fabricating barges.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all welding and fabrication tasks are completed to the highest quality standards, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and safety.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Perform welding and fabrication duties in accordance with company specifications and blueprints.
* Weld aluminum and steel components using various techniques and equipment.
* Fabricate barges and other marine structures according to project requirements.
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
* Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe work environment.
*Qualifications:* * Previous experience as a welder/fabricator, preferably in a manufacturing or marine construction environment.
* Proficiency in welding aluminum and steel, with a strong understanding of various welding techniques.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
* Experience with fabrication and machine operation is required.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering top-quality work.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
* Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
