The Production Supervisor oversees our welding and grinding work centers to ensure employees have the resources and training they require to ensure we achieve operational objectives.
They communicate with others to maintain proper flow of parts and material and share their expertise to meet these objectives.
This is a second shift position.
Regular shift production hours are M-Th, 3:00pm - 1:00am with additional overtime days scheduled on Fridays from 3:00pm to 9:00pm.
What You’ll Do:
Supervise the Grinding and Welding Departments.
Monitor employee attendance, performance, and time off.
Monitor and enforce work safety rules.
Communicate with fellow supervisors, production control, purchasing, production manager and plant manager to maintain proper flow of parts and material.
Provide updates when problems arise and on the status of “hot” jobs.
Evaluate and address quality concerns with employees, update procedures and or submit engineering changes to address the concern.
Attend and participate in company meetings.
What You’ll Need:
5-7 yrs experience in a manufacturing environment.
Supervisory experience preferred.
A desire to learn new things, and to share what you know with your team
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent hands on machinery or fabrication skills.
Excellent math and mechanical skills.
Computer skills - basic.
Mechanical background with the ability to analyze and facilitate solutions.
High School Diploma or equivalent
